Global Warming Aftermaths

This summer Hadley Rille Books will publish the new anthology, Global Warming Aftermaths, edited by Eric T. Reynolds.

Awesomeness! I'm hoping it's out by the Campbell Conference....
That's my goal!
Gee, Dr. Schoen is the only representative for the second half of the alphabet!
klingonguy is an amazing guy--I'm sure he can live up to the challenge.
Too true! I saw on his LJ about applying a "flow" writing mechanic to his story for this, and essentially re-writing a 1000 word start into a 10-scene story that will happen in days.

Gulp. And I worry about a story in weeks. My, I still have a bit to go in learning this here writing thing!

Still, it makes me curious about this "flow" technique.
Ulp! No pressure.
Steaming Awesome!

The Sekrit is out. Now I'm gonna blog about this.

Me too!
No green sky, I see. ,-)
No, or at least, not yet. But this is just a prototype cover. I may or may not use that picture.
Which to me in translation means that regardless of how visually impressive this is, the final version will be even more so, eye-catching with a completely appropriate illustration, and wholistic with an ergonomic professional layout.

Neat.
Eric--is that THE James Gunn contributing a story to this anthology? If so, wow! I've enjoyed his stories since the 1970s. "The Joy Makers" is one of my favorite science fiction novels, prefiguring the themes in "The Matrix" by decades, though unfortunately largely forgotten now.
Yes, sir, the one. His is a great story that fits really well into the theme of the anthology. Yeah, The Joy Makers is one of his defining books. He came up with many original ideas that would become popular much later. The Listeners is an example. Written mostly in the late 60s as a series, then as a novel a couple of years later, it was original inspiration for Carl Sagan's Cosmos, published in 80s.
Well, I am glad to hear he is still writing! It's great you got a story from him.
You know, I rather like the page on the site that features this, with the list of contributors. If you add a summary of the theme and a buy button to Amazon, it would make a pretty sweet feature page for the book. Each of your titles could have this...the cover, the ToC, a descritpion, and a button link to it on Amazon.

The thumb on the main page could take you to the feature page....
